Unprecedented Fall Heat Wave Could Shatter Temperature Records in Toronto

Dan Terziev

In a recent update by Codi Wilson, featured on CP24 today, Toronto finds itself on the cusp of potentially breaking temperature records as it grapples with unexpectedly warm weather for the early days of fall.

As indicated by Environment Canada, the forecast predicts a high of 28°C for today, and when factoring in humidity, it may feel more like 33°C. This starkly contrasts with the historical average high of 17°C. Additionally, there is a possibility that today's temperature could surpass the previous record high for October 3rd. On this date back in 2001, Toronto recorded a daytime high of 27°C.

Furthermore, the weather forecast for Wednesday anticipates a continuation of the hot and humid conditions, with the national weather agency projecting a near-identical outlook to that of Tuesday's weather pattern.
